We made it into the Lake District today. We rode up to Lake Windermere, and hopped onto the ferry that runs up the lake. We have reservations at Carrock Fell for tonight and tomorrow night. As we were pulling into the dock at Ambleside, we spotted a large Youth Hostel. It was an instant and unanimous decision to forget about riding to Carrock Fell tonight, and stop early and enjoy the evening here. It turned out the Hostel was fully booked, but we found good rooms in a B&B for a good price. We even took in a movie after a good pub meal. Tomorrow we'll have an easy ride the rest of the way to Carrock Fell.
