I finally got around to uploading the photos from our bike trip. We didn’t take very many photos. This seems to be the biggest effect of me no longer using a handlebar bag. Since the camera was stashed down in one of my front panniers, it often seemed like too much effort to get it out to take a picture. Maybe I am getting exceedingly lazy as I get older.

HI you two. Looks like you had a blast,and the trip was a success. Very impressive in the mileage to days ratio, you would be able to cross the country in half the time it took us. We are 3 days from being done,and then what? Maybe I’ll bike up to see you.

Sure! If you ride the tandem, you can pick up hitchhikers on the way.

I gotta take a bike tour some time soon. I haven’t taken one since 1983. That’s just crazy.

So throw a few things in a pannier and head out for an overnight. There’s even a shorthand for such a trip; it’s called an S24 for sub-24 hour. Head out in the afternoon, stay overnight somewhere, then ride back home in the morning.
